Reliance Communication Poaches Mr. CS Rao
MUMBAI: The second largest telecommunication firm of India by customers, reliance communications has poached Wi-Max forum’s initiative head in India CS Rao, said an executive in the company.
The executive of Rcom said that Mr. Rao will lead its corporate dealings and regulatory function and he sad that Mr. Rao would be a key part of new headship team. Mr. Rao is best acknowledged for his efforts to encourage Wi-Max, the wireless technology for broadband in India.
26 new top level management executives along with Intel and Google the Anil Ambani endorsed corporation has hired recently to support its communication business.
Earlier this Mr. Rao was the managing director of Intel’s Wi-Max program in India, Middle East and South Asia. It will be the major blow for the India Chapter of the spectrum in the recently concluded auctions to opt this technology platform.
Mr Rao could not be reached for his clarification.
Capgemini Plans To Buy 55% Stake In Brazilian IT Group
PARIS: Capgemini, Europe’s leading information technology firm is purchasing 55 % stake in t CPM Braxis, Brazilian peer, for 233 million Euros, to enlarge high growth rising markets.
On Thursday chief executive, Paul Hermelin said that, “This deal will allow us to become leaders on the Brazilian market. Brazil has very strong potential, and it represents about half the value of the Latin American market”. There were forecasts that by 2014 the growth of country will go for double digit, he added.
According to Capgemini, around 450 million eruos revenue of CPM Braxis annually and has 5500 employees. Company’s enterprise value was estimated at 437 million euros.
The contract provide the French group the alternative on definite dates each year to buy the rest of CPM Braxis whose existing shareholders have an choice to sell their remaining shares. The Capgemini said that the contract would commence to merge CPM Braxis in its accounts from October and the contract would start to contribute income some time in 2011.
Analyst at French brokerage CM-CIC Securities, Dov Levy said that, “The agreement a good strategic move for Capgemini to break into Brazil, which is now dominated by rivals IBM, Accenture, Hewlett Packard and Unisys.” “We see the price paid as being reasonable given the growth rates for the country and the company, and its ability to improve its margins,” he wrote in a note.
Founder And Chairman Of Wipro Premji’s Become Chief Strategy Officer
One of the leading IT firm Wipro Ltd has announced that compny’s new chief strategy officer will be Rishad Premji, the oldest son of company’s founder chairman Azim Premji.
Company said in a statement that, currently 33 year old Rishad Premji serving the company as general manager treasury and investor relations and he will take over the responsibility from K.R. Lakshminarayana, effective from 1 Jan 2011.
Rishad Premji would report to the joint chief executive officers and Lakshminarayana will become chief endowment officer at a trust set up to fund the founder’s philanthropic work, said Wipro.

The software giant Microsoft Cop seeking a partner in China to develop a major ground in China’s internet search market. The company aim to play a major role in the country’s internet market.
Microsoft’s Chief Executive for greater China, Simon Leung said that the software giant is planning to spend around $ 100 million in Chinese firms. The Microsoft is looking for the company which in sector including cloud computing, software and even gaming.
But Leung refused to make any declarations on the timing of investments.
However the Microsoft is looking for approval from the government of China to sell the Xbox video game console in the country.
Leung did not provide any possible company name fro the joint venture. Leung said that, “Definitely, our goal is to be No. 1 in the market” as measured by the amount of searches handled.
