Taliban Attacks Afghan Guards In A Devastating Raid

taliban-fightersTaliban attackers killed at least 21 sleeping afghan guards and some of the guards escaped this attack. These guards were securing a project of road construction. This brutal attack took place in the Helmand river valley. Since the past three years, thousands of British troops have been stationed in this place.

Abdul qahir, the commander of the company guards said –“They came with eight Toyota Land Cruisers and drove fast toward us and broke the first security belt,” he said, “and we were all firing on them, but they kept driving towards us and broke the second and third belts and drove over our concertina wires.”

He further said that the death toll will rise once there is complete recovery of the bodies.

Terrorists Will Not Be Allowed To Take Advantage Of Situation

US, so far, have given a combined aid of 150 dollars to Pakistan for this cause. US secretary of state Hillary Clinton said – “We will be with you as rivers rise and fall; we will be with you as you replant your fields and repair your roads”

The secretary general of the UN urged the member states to speed up the process for immediate help of 6million affected which include 3.5 million children.He further said – That is more than the entire population hit by the Indian Ocean tsunami, the Kashmir earthquake, Cyclone Nargis and the earthquake in Haiti, combined.

Maoists Invade Police Station And House Of Congress Leader

In one of the bizarre terrorist activity on the soil of the Indian nation, a major attack by Maoists on Thursday left two people dead. The terrorist outfit attacked the police station and the house of the congress leader in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district. This led to the death of two of his relatives and injury to two that also included his son.

The Naxalites armed with weapons struck the Kuakonda police station but were fought back in a tough manner by the police personnel. As per the clear cut information from the authorities, six of the Naxalites lost their lives in the bizarre incident. The reports further say that the mutilated bodies of the deceased are yet to be recovered.

The second target after the attack on the police station was the house of the congress leader Avdesh Gautam who lives in the nearby nakulnar village. There was a complete retaliation from the five security forces that were deployed for the security of the congress leader. All this report was fully confirmed by a spokesman of the police force.

India And Japan Revive Bid For Security Council Reforms

The UN has begun the process of intergovernmental negotiations as far as the Security Council reforms are concerned. The G4 nations which include India, Japan, Germany and Brazil will move ahead in unison for the revival of these plans.

This was confirmed after high level talks took place between India and Japan on Tuesday. It was said in the talks that meeting will be held between the foreign ministers of the 4 nations along with a special invitee from the republic of South Africa.  This meeting will take place on the sidelines of the UN general assembly in the city of New York in the month of September this year.

japanThe Indian side of the 2+2 talks was led by Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and Defence Secretary Pradeep Kumar.  Japan was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Kenichiro Sasae and Vice-Defence Minister Kimito Nakae. After these talks were finished, there were talks related to the matters of foreign office consultations.

The key topics of discussion of these talks were security and the strategic corporation. Besides this, there were talks on regional situations that covered Pakistan, Afghanistan and Myanmar also.

As per the top official sources, India has held such 2+2 talks for the first time with country like Japan. Earlier Japan has held such talks with countries like US and Australia which are the special allies of Japan. Obviously, it is a clear signal of increment of the security dialogue.

In one of the latest reality show Ma Nuo, a Model from Beijing, she haughtily rejected offer from one of the male contestant to take a ride on his bike. Ma told her suitor with giggle, “I’d rather cry in BMW car than laugh on the backseat of a bicycle.” Ma left the show without a match but now she became one of the most talked-about women in the country.
