As per the media sources and the environmental experts, the California- Mexican border is rocked by a devastating earth quake which measures 7.7 on the Richter scale. This earthquake has definitely rattled the nerves from San Diego north to the orange county and the Los Angeles.

As per the geological survey of the US, the quake was centered 5 miles from the southwest of Ocotillo in the imperial county. This is about 85 miles from San Diego. This quake stuck on Monday at 9-26 pm. immediately after the earthquake, the emergency services of the San Diego office made calls in all the nearby cities for any property damage but found no reports as such. The chairman of the imperial county mr Louis further said that he had so far received no immediate reports about the damage.

As per the seismic experts, this earthquake is an aftershock of the ester Sunday earthquake of magnitude 7.2 on the Richter scale that had shake the southern California. He further said that the epicenter of the earthquake could be in the same zone as the former one. The expert further said that the aftershocks can continue for months and even years.
